Changes in 2022

The Main Option

The option available to you has already been used by three of the authors whose book I published. It is not something new because it has always been available. However, it is more complex and involves some additional work and, at this stage, some additional cost.

This option involves a little work on your part and several steps on my part. The result will be that you will have full and direct control of your royalties from KDP Amazon. I’ve listed the steps involved below.

Step One: Open a publishing account at KDP Amazon. This will require some information, a bank account, and a credit or debit card for KDP to use in handling the printing and sale of your book(s). You can handle this process yourself or, if you prefer, you can provide me all the details and I can set up the account for you. Once the account is open and functional. You will need to share the login details with me so I can use your KDP account to set up your book(s).

Step Two: This is a step that I undertake with your book. I issue a new ISBN number for your book(s). Then I republish your book(s) on your new KDP account. Then I unpublish your book on my Positive Imaging, LLC account, and the process is complete. From then on, Amazon will handle all the sales of your book and deposit all royalties directly to your bank account as listed in your account.

This process involves several steps, and it involves a fee. I based the amount of the fee on how much of the process you handle. If you set up the KDP Amazon publishing account yourself, the total fee is $95.00. If I have to set up the KDP Amazon publishing account besides the republish and unpublish, the fee is $125.00. I have kept this fee as low as possible and I encourage you to take this option.

During this process, I use your login on your KDP Amazon account to perform all the tasks. Once I have concluded the transfer of the book, you can change the login password and I will no longer have access to your account.
